Equalities Act 2010
The Equalities Act introduced the public sector Equality Duty to ensure that all public bodies play their part in making society fairer by tackling discrimination and providing equality of opportunity for all. Cumbria County Council produced an Equalities Need Analysis examining how the work of the organisation impacts on people with different protected characteristics.
