Place Survey 2008-09

The Place Survey was a central government initiative used to gather public perception data on a range of National Indicators and other locally relevant issues. Areas covered by the survey included satisfaction with life in the county, attitudes towards public services and levels of civic participation.

In Cumbria over 11,300 people completed the survey, making the 2008/9 Place Survey one of the largest and most powerful sources of information we have about what people think and feel about where they live, how local services are performing and priorities for action and change.
